Series activities of 14th five-year plan

“The 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) is a crucial period for China’s progress towards socialist modernization and for Suzhou¡¯s shift towards the benchmark of high quality development. The series of activities has helped Xi¡¯an Jiaotong-Liverpool University to participate in the cooperation between government, industry, academia and research, and to promote the preparation of the 14th Five-Year Plan that meets the local situation and reflects the wishes of the public.

Essay writing campaign on “my suggestions for the 14th Five-Year Plan of Suzhou

• Sponsors: Suzhou Municipal Development & Reform Commission and Suzhou Philosophy and Social Science Association,
• Organizer: The XJTLU University Research Centre for Urban and Environmental Studies
• Achievements: Over 100 articles were received from universities, research institutes and social organizations on the preparation of Suzhou¡®s 14th Five-Year Plan, and awarded 10 first prizes based on expert review.

Call for papers of suggestions for the 14th Five-Year Plan of Suzhou Industrial Park

• Sponsors: Suzhou Industrial Park Economic Development Committee
• Organizer: The XJTLU University Research Centre for Urban and Environmental Studies
• Achievements: Nearly 50 high-quality articles were received from government and industries, global institutions, universities, professional groups and individuals, and more than?100 suggestions?were received. A total of?16 award-winning articles?were selected, and?24 suggestions?were actually included in the general plan and sub-plans of the 14th Five-Year Plan.
